Tales of Blue

Snow enclosed the world
hid leaves, and lawn mower
froze them in place
quiet
The morning hush,
broken by cedar wax-wing
chatter over seeds
grey bodies shivering
broken by lines
tire treads on the hill
a hint of ice underneath
A dog crossed the yard
A raven touched down

The snow/her eyes
their stories indented
