EPIPHANY CELEBRATION — Many culturally diverse choirs came together to sing Christmas carols from around the world Jan. 8 at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Prince Albert, for an afternoon of sharing and educating of how Christmas is celebrated in various countries and how they all share the same message of love, joy, family and friendship. The event was narrated by two girls in Grade 7 from École Ste. Anne School. The choirs present were the Filipino and French choirs from Sacred Heart Cathedral, the Polish choir from Our Lady of Czestochowa, the Vietnamese choir shown here with Rev. D. J. Vu (Christopher Lake), the St. Mary High School Glee Club led by Kayleigh Smith, the École Ste. Anne School choir led by Janice Manning, and the St. Mark and St. Michael parish choirs. Bishop Albert Thévenot, M. Afr., welcomed and thanked everyone for attending, and invited everyone to the potluck ethnic appetizer lunch following the musical afternoon. |
