In
Search of the Horizon
Fields of canola
stretch my eyes
to the horizon
Only trees
edging fields
spoil the transformation from
bright yellow to blue
white and grey
But round a bend
fields of oats
not as spectacular
but important nevertheless
stall my eyes
Too soon corn fields
attempt to alter my view
But rain blankets the ground
Prayers have been
answered.
